2010: A Gaming Odyssey

29 December 2009 2 Comments

As the year winds down, it’s time to look ahead to the next year and set some New Year’s Resolutions – gaming ones of course. Feedback, suggestions, want to help with any of it – leave a comment, or send email.

#1 Run a monthly game night

That’s 12 game nights (probably Saturdays) at my place here in Guelph, Ontario. In 2009 I hosted 6 game nights, so this means twice as much gaming (at least) in 2010. Having more regular gaming get togethers will help with some of the other resolutions on my list as well!

#2 GM an ongoing RPG campaign

We ran a two-night Basic D&D game and another two-night 4e game in 2009.  For 2010 I’d like to try running something where we can develop some more storylines and characters. I’m thinking SciFi/Fantasy based on rules from various editions of D&D.

#3 Blog more at RobertsonGames

Last year I found Twitter took up more time than I intended where I could have been posting here. For 2010 I hope to blog on a much more regular schedule.

#4 More Product Reviews

This is something I started doing in 2009 with a review of Q-Workshop’s Deadlands Dice, and will be continuing in 2010 with more reviews. If you have something you’d like us to take a look at – please get in touch.

#5 Publish More Products

In 2010 I’m planning on publishing more iPhone applications, more gaming podcasts, and with any luck our first print book as well!

Happy New Year to everyone who’s stopped by to read our posts, download our podcast or apps, and contributed to making RobertsonGames fun over the past year! :)

Can help you with #s 1, 2, 4 (if you want assistance / contributors) and 5 (podcasts). You are on your own for 3, although I suppose reading and responding helps out. So it’s a sweep!
